Review of The Corporation (2003) by Bill H — 02 Jul 2011
A short story and description of the multinational corporations that surreptitiously manipulate our choices while exploiting staff (many of them underage) in underdeveloped countries to keep costs down.
It is a very well researched documentary, if anything there is a lot of information to digest here, but is presented in an orderly way. The movie is divided in chapters, and each chapter show us a "dark" feature of corporations, there is so much to say that you could indeed make a movie out of each feature.
There are several interviews with economists, trade experts, whistleblowers and CEOs. Some of this stuff is really scary especially the impact of these products, made with altered ingredients and seeds, on our health, indeed several connexions have been made between our exposure to dangerous chemicals in them products and cancer. It is even more scarier how governments and press have been covering up for them keeping the population either deceived or threatened.
