I rate 60% the sci-fi movie The Core (2003). Simple idea (though no explaination of how it happened) that the Earth's core stops rotating. Obviously, really bad things happen when the magnetic field disappears.
OK, so let's jumpstart the core and make it rotate again. No problem, we will tunnel bore to the core and a few nukes to starting it moving again. Well, its fun to watch if you leave your brain turned off.
A marginal recommendation for this movie.
