Strangely, I got triggered to see this film only because I had read that William Macy played in it. My first encounter with Macy must have been "Fargo" in which he acts phenomenally. The same sense of tragedy of Fargo's "crime gone horribly wrong" returns in The Cooler in which Macy plays a Vegas casino cooler.
Overall tame plot with varying twists of romance, violence, heroic acts and exploitation. Enjoyable fillm...
