I feel bad for William H. Macy. All he ever gets is "down on his luck loser" roles. Between this, "Fargo", and "Wild Hogs" (the only movies I've seen with him in it), he plays the same character only with different jobs and people around him.
Yes, he's good at it, but that's kinda depressing when he's good at playing losers. Anyway, "The Cooler" is OK. Maria Bello is hot and Alec Baldwin is pretty good in it, but it just doesn't have anything that endearing it it.
Not bad, but not great. Worth a look if you want, but you won't be missing much if you pass on this one.
