Review of The Conversation (1974) by Pamela D — 02 Jun 2009
A compelling character portrait of a surveillance specialist who goes berserk over his own privacy while invading that of others. After misinterpreting the vocal emphasis on the wrong word in a recording, he involves himself in a case to prevent the inevitable outcome and gets in way over his head.
With a young Harrison Ford, Cindy Williams, and Terry Garr. Featuring Hackman and Duvall.
