Review of The Conversation (1974) by Anna B — 18 Nov 2011
Sags in the middle, and some aspects are poorly written (like the paper thin women, and the fact that this wildly paranoid character suddenly stops being paranoid for a moment so he can fuck an obviously suspicious prostitute so she can steal his tapes so the plot can move forward), but it's well-made, and Hackman is unreasonably good so it kinda balances out.
