Review of The Conversation (1974) by Brandon Y — 14 Jan 2010
As good as Godfather 1 and 2 are, The Conversation could still be Coppolas best film. It's superb filmaking and an amazing character study. Paranoid and intrusive, Hackman is at his best as a man whose belief system becomes challenged when the tables turn on him.
Harrison Ford plays a small but unforgettable role. John Cazale is great as usual.
