It's a classic movie...although a re-make of blow up [by Antonioni] THE CONVERSATION is a superb movie.
Gene Hackman is very good in the role of the best bugger of the east coast..and the direction is possibly coppola's best..
The story is simple but the whole movie, cast and directions takes you to a level of unconsciousness that will make you feel so claustrophobic that you will never want to be a sound recordist..
Amazing movie...
