Review of The Contractor (2007) by Ben M — 10 Aug 2007
Surprisingly effective for a straight to video actioner, only to be a bit more leaner in action scenes. Snipes is supported well by supporting actors Charles Dance and 300's Lena Heady ...but after CIA black ops Diallives takes out a terrorist and is set up to die, film veers in an odd, light 'Professional' lite storyline, as a nosy young lass becomes intrigued by a wounded, on the run Diallives. The final action piece goes on longer than it should, and someone please smack the films composer upside the head. In any case, as far as Snipes' DTV films go, this is one of the better efforts.
Now if he only got back to dramas and comedies, he might get his career back in order...
