Review of The Constant Gardener (2005) by Steven P — 15 Jan 2009
This is one of those films where as soon as it ended I wanted to watch it again, just so I could appreciate it with a full deck, as it were. Films with a non-linear structure tend to have that effect on me.
It didn't pull its punches and it was superbly acted, though I could've done without the overly affected camerawork. And I feel like a horrible person for saying this because I think Rachel Weisz is fantastic, but I still think Michelle Williams was more deserving of the Best Supporting Actress Oscar that year.
Sorry Rachel.
