Review of The Constant Gardener (2005) by Lindsay W — 08 Aug 2009
Though it tries to make itself seem complex, it comes down to being the Fugitive in Africa. Granted, I couldn't tell one white old man from the other, but it wasn't really that important. Still, Fiennes and Weisz are superb and the pacing of the film worked well.
Its view of how Africa is considered by Europe and the Americas does a decent, if not far-reaching, job of showing how the continent and its people are still considered expendable.
