Review of The Constant Gardener (2005) by Tamara K — 11 Jul 2010
Re-watching this fine movie, True to the book & brought alive with beautiful & tragic images of Africa. A tale of political intrigue with big biz as the villain & the anti-hero's wife the crusading activist.
Sadness pervades w/the husband's realisation that he hasnt really paid attention to his wife's needs and desires & the corruption around him, preferring to bury himself in the world of beauty, to his great sorrow in this tragedy of lost love, redemption, personal & global.
