Review of The Constant Gardener (2005) by Stevec. — 15 Sep 2005
The acting and the story line were excellent -- and the focus on the evils of the large, multi-national drug companies is long overdue. This otherwise excellent film is absolutly ruined by the manic cinemaphotography and editing: it had the look and feel of seeing the world through the eyes of a crystal meth addict.
All the fine acting was completely upstaged by out-of-focus, jerky, and just plain sloppy camera work that never let the viewer completely relate to the characters or the plot.
