While it may be a cliched story of underdog lawyer trying a case he knows is over his head, "The Conspirator" is a film that made interesting through the history depicted. A story of post-Civil War that not many people may be familiar with, the trial of Mary Surratt is a compelling story that anyone who loves the Civil War time period should see.
