Review of The Conspirator (2011) by Anna C — 11 Jul 2011

Despite reading harsh reviews, I went to see this film and was more than glad that I did. The film did not bore me in the slightest; rather it jarred me with the poignancy of its relevance to current issues.

McAvoy plays brilliantly and his transformation was believable. I was left thinking that the harsh reviews I had read were perhaps more a reflection of some reviewers desire for distraction, action and comic book style in films than a fair-handed critique of the film.

I appreciated seeing a movie that genuinely had something worthwhile to say and which did so quite well. Pamela Rosengard.
