Review of The Conspirator (2011) by Evan H — 18 Jul 2011
The Conspirator was an excellent directed historical drama, and as such, from a well known story and a typical fight for injustice theme, it fixed the viewer firmly between a single argument and civil order.
The approach to the end is refreshingly different and the end open to discussion about the actual crime that was committed by Mary Surratt, or was she collateral damage to a Post American Civil War with itâ(TM)s roots in Southern materialism, slaves from the cotton fields.
Itâ(TM)s remarkable that Frederick Aiken the man who defended her to the last left the legal profession to become a founder member of the Washington Post. A excellent movie with no need for 3D glasses only 3D viewing skillsâ¦.
