Review of The Conspirator (2011) by Srikanth V — 18 Aug 2011
Very few movies are capable of bounding ambicious production with ambicious message. This filme does it suberbly. Not only is a marvellous pice of cinema, revealling enourmous sensibility and historicall accuracy but also remind us of the human atrocities when a Nation demands revenge above all cost, including sacrificing human constitutional rights. The historical reconstruction of an American Nation shattered by 5 years of Civil War in 1865 is incredibly accurate and evoque all the fears, doubts, angers as well as the political fragilities that where present. The caracters are all real, the actors, so genuine that I was totally lost in theyre caracters. This is a suberb film, a genre that I thaught that was lost for ages in Hollywood. I strongly recommend this project to everyone who enjoys real time cinema with a real message and real caracters.
Robert Redford, you are truly a gifted director.
