Review of The Conspirator (2011) by Joey S — 17 Sep 2011
If the facts around the assassination of President Lincoln are correctly portrayed then the big take away from this movie is that there indeed is a precedence for the kind of "fear politics" and "in times of war laws fall silent" that we've been witnessing in the last decade or so in this country.
The movie is well made without being brilliant. I thought Robin Wright's performance was the highlight. A very believable and compelling characterization of Mary Surrat.
