Review of The Conspirator (2011) by Jason L — 07 Oct 2011
Not discussed very widely, the story is a reminder of how national rage/shock could get out of control and threaten the very Constitution itself. Though the context is the witch hunt for Lincoln's assassins, when we executed a woman for the first time, the story is eerily similar to the "Patriot Act" mania that followed 9/11.
No matter what happens, we should never cease being the kind of country and people that makes America the great country it is.
