Review of The Conspirator (2011) by Stewart F — 01 Feb 2012

Slow paced, over long movie which rather labors its message on occasions, and with some pretty clunky dialogue. The human rights subtext and its relevance to today is as subtle as a shovel in the face, but no less valid for that.

When all's said and done, it was enjoyable to watch this stellar cast, and be enlightened on this episode of history...and the eternal and universal theme of individuals being callously sacrificed for the expediency of the state.
