The Conspirator (2010).

Directed by: Robert Redford.

PG-13, 2 hr. 2 min.

Release Date: April 15, 2011.

Really rather brilliant. From hazy lighting and well lit haze, making each scene both age old and magestic to view emerged this fine period piece in American cinema history.

It had 'me' all riled up in the 'that was it, how it went, all present and accounted for' that I missed alot of the fact it was about 'him' Frederick Aikenand played brilliantly (almost unrecognisable) by James McAvoy, as 'his' effort brought into light this indefendable defendant and that the fact that an asassins mother was the owner of the house, plus lived in it she was definitly a co-conspirator if not the mistro and that 'the mother knows everything' thingie . That she should be punished for not probeing to thwart the event before it ever taking place.

A very double sided case for me given the facts and that "it's" the story (i`m not spoiling anything there) But that it is done really rather well and not having really known/grown up with the 'actual story' much, so was hit by the content of such a momentous event all in the same questioning state of mind. Also guided by a military courtroom fresh out of one of the most gruesome displays human loss on the battle-field war zones ever to grace the face of the earth.
