Review of The Conspirator (2011) by Stayce R — 19 Jul 2012
Based on a true and shows what what can happen when one branch of the gov't is allowed to decide the rule of law... (Reminiscent of what happened after 9/11 - Kevin Klein's character is reflective of Chaney and his 1% Doctrine).
We'll never know if she was guilty or not since she was tried by a military court which was pre-determined on her guilt. When she gets a writ of habeus corpus for a civilian trial the VP / Acting President (Andrew Johnson) moves to set that aside in a monumental act of injustice to satisfy the post-war and post-assassination hysteria.
The next year the Supreme Court finds that military trials of civilians are unconstitutional.
