Review of The Conspiracy (2012) by Geoff J — 05 Oct 2013
A re-working of the found footage format with a "found documentary" being at the heart of this. An investigation into the Conspiracy culture in the USA takes on a darker toner as one of the filmmakers finds themselves drawn into the confused and sinister world, of super corporation and all powerful international conspiracies.
For the most part this works really well, and its great to see that there is still something new and fresh that can be done with this style. The film makers do seem to loose their way in the last quarter of the film, and fall back on familiar story-types, and aren't able to deliver on the promised potential that the film seemed to hint at.
Still worth watching, especially if you have your own conpiracy theory !
