Review of The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) by Cynthiajoy — 05 Jun 2021
We read the reviews, but went anyway. And I loved it! It's a fine continuation of this campy, creepy, supposed-to-be-real story of the Warrens and their campaign against evil. Someone who reviewed was annoyed by the religious theme, which is hilarious because that's the world these movies are set in.
If you don't like Christianity and Western Civilization, please avoid movies about demons and vampires. You're bound to see some crosses and hear some prayers! There's no beating the original Conjuring.
But this story is compelling and scary and holds together well. There are some great new characters: a possessed kid and a deeply in-love teenaged couple. And the love story of the Warrens themselves is told.
Just go. It's fun.
