Review of The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021) by Wantedtolikebut — 04 Jun 2021
Very disappointing. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga deserve a better script than they got here. The direction is strangely inconsistent, the storytelling often incoherent, with some bad casting and acting in the supporting roles, with the exception of the terrific John Noble.
The opening was embarrassing, kitchen-sinked to squeeze-in every possible horror trope and cliche. The script was in parts badly researched and never quite made sense. Bad.
