The Conjuring: Devil made me do it is horror genre movie but it had least horror elements as compared to previous parts. It looked more like a drama movie.
The direction is a nice change of pace. The Warrens are still great in this film with both Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga having a real chemistry on screen and still being one of the most lovable protagonists in horror media. The only thing this movie failed was that is wasn't able to scare.
Overall, it is a decent sequel, just not the terrifying one.
