Review of The Conjuring (2013) by Brian C — 01 Feb 2015
This was certainly a movie. That it got such good reviews reflects more on the state of the horror film genre than the quality of The Conjuring itself. James Wan does some phenomenal things with the camera here, including some retro tracking/zoom shots (zooming is particularly rare these days), but the story/writing screamed "meh!".
