James Wan outdoes himself again with this beautifully shot and absolutely frightening movie. Wan is the master of using genuine scares of his generation. There are some horror movie clichés but the build up to those moments are just as scary as the cliché.
The acting is phenomenal again, especially from the little girl, wow. My only problem with the movie is how it wraps up, as if the writers were rushed to finish it. But thank God Way's stylistic directing can salvage it and make it worth while.
