Review of The Conjuring 2 (2016) by Adrien B — 22 Jul 2016
This was the first horror movie I saw in the theater in a very long time. I only saw this because a friend told me I would like it. I really don't think that this was actually a true story even though they had evidence more than 50 years old.
The actresses play their parts well and the main girl Janet did a good job having scared looks on her face. However this movie was not as suspenseful as other films like The Call. There were lots of jump scares in this but only one of them scared me.
I didn't see the first conjuring and probably won't since I didn't enjoy this one as much as I thought. Horror movies have gone downhill ever since the 2000s. There are rarely any good ones now a days and I think the genre is dying out.
Orphan is still my favorite horror film from the past 20 years.
