Review of The Conjuring 2 (2016) by Brains A — 21 Aug 2016
One of the best horror sequels to come along in some time and pretty much just as good as the original. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson are strong again in reprising their roles, as is James Wan in the director's chair, and the film does an effective job of blending the couple's personal story with the supernatural and genre elements.
It is a shade too long and grows a bit repetitive in its scares, but it's hard not to come away impressed, especially by typical horror sequel standards.
