Review of The Conjuring 2 (2016) by Devo-Nc — 10 Jun 2016
Scared me in new ways. The cinematography is impeccable. Very good sequel. It's weird how this was one of the movie's I was most looking forward to this summer. James Waan can scare you even if you don't look at the screen.
To me, the first one is a little bit better, it was a tighter movie. Conjuring 2 is long and feels draggy in moments, it didn't always keep me engaged all the way through, unalike the first one. I also wish I cared for the victimized family more.
The first conjuring movie was entirely a horrifying movie, this sequel is terrifying because of it's boldness in visualizing the darkness in a more in your face way.
