The original is one of my favorite horror flicks and this is really close. A real rollercoaster from start to finish, and a really good ghost story. Vera Farmiga probably plays second fiddle to Patrick Wilson overall in the movie, but her ghost scenes are brilliant.
The scene in Ed's study with the painting was super stuff. If you loved the first film, this will not disappoint you. Instant classic.
