Review of The Conjuring 2 (2016) by Anastasia B — 03 Nov 2017
This movie was not bad, but definitely not the best. The first one was better even though I did not enjoy that one either. This movie annoyed me because in the beginning when the wife has a vision of her husband's death and refuses to tell him, that was pretty ridiculous.
I know she was probably trying to 'protect' him of sorts but is it not better to open up and tell him in this situation. She only tells him when he oddly enough paints the same nun that kills him in his vision.
That was not the worst part of the movie, in all fairness, that was not that bad just something I did not like at all. I absolutely hated the fact that the family in London had been living in their house for a while before they started getting haunted.
It may have been to stand out from the cliche, but it made less sense. How does a family live there and then suddenly months or so later start getting haunted. It makes more sense to feel haunted when you first move in because the spirits and ghosts or whoever, do not want you there, or have a story, and some want to warn you.
The rest of the movie I did not have much of a problem with, I just kept thinking back to why they were getting haunted so late. One more thing to add though was why when the family went to the neighbors house, the old man could still haunt them.
How wide of a range did the old man have? I feel like that should not have been able to happen, but it is just a movie.
