Review of The Conjuring 2 (2016) by Isadore H — 25 Nov 2016
The second installment in the Conjuring series boasts just as many scares, twists and turns as the previous one did. I found the opening scenes very terrifying, but unfortunately, the film didn't quite teach that level again until the ending scenes.
That's not to say everything in the middle was bad, it was still an effective horror movie directed by James Wan, who is quite possibly the best horror director of the past 5-6 years. I would really like to see a return to the franchise for one final throw down with maybe Satan himself.
