Review of The Congress (2013) by Nolan W — 18 Jul 2014
Fatuous nonsense. The trailer promises an interesting take on the future of entertainment and reality... The movie delivers a steaming pile of poor animation with chunks of terrible script that resemble the twisted entrails of the movie industry it pathetically attempts to mock.
These poor actors seem to be held hostage by an invisible captor who's never reveled despite the heavy handed attempt for profundity. We reached the "I don't care moment" long before the movie's midpoint.
Had we not paid $10 on PPV to watch this pretentious clap trap, we'd have shut it down sooner. In hindsight, I would pay another $10 to have it erased from my mind.
