Review of The Condemned (2007) by Shona S — 04 Oct 2009
Totally Straight to Video stuff on the surface, but this actually comes across as a decent movie, taking influence from the likes of Battle Royale and, to a lesser extent, Predator. The performances across the board are commendable (though no one is expected to play against type) but what most impresses is the tone of the film never falters, this being an incredibly violent movie that Condemns violence in the media.
Oh the irony!
