Review of The Condemned (2007) by Chris F — 02 Sep 2008
10 deathrow inmates are stranded on a desolate island infested with webcams which is sure to become the ultimate reality show experience. The goal: The inmates must kill each other until there is only 1 left standing.
With a 30 hour time limit via bomb rigged ankle bracelets forcing time constraints for the combatants, it makes for an interesting show. I was skeptical about this movie at first b/c it was produced by the WWE, but it's actually a decent action movie.
It wasn't destined to win any awards, but it's interesting. The movie strangely resembles Rockstar's 2003 game "Manhunt." Stone Cold Steve Austin shows that he has the ability to be an action star, but he does need a little work on the acting department.
Overall this was a fun movie that was well paced. Go check it out if you're a fan of action movies. It's ludicrous and over the top......the perfect combo for any action movie.
