Review of The Concorde... Airport '79 (1979) by J K — 20 Jul 2007
The airport series has gone from overwrought melodrama to complete self-parody. This is so ludicrious entertaining that it's almost as funny as the genuine spoof Airplane. My particular favourite is George Kennedy's ongoing stream of inappropriately crass and sexist comments, as well as Jimmie Walker's pot smokin' sax player.
The entire story and special effects are pretty hilarious too, although there is great footage of the then state-of-the-art concorde.
