Review of The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (1969) by Simon P — 11 Jan 2012
An astoundingly poor [brilliant] title sequence opens this load of delightful Disney drivel, vintage family fun starring Kurt Russell as Dexter Riley - a college student who "accidentally turns into a human computer through a shocking lab mishap".
But don't let that put you off because this riotous romp also features the sensationally bronzed Cesar Romero [Joker from the camp 60s version of Batman] as the head of an illegal gambling organisation that becomes involved in a battle against greedy college deans for the "genius" Dexter.
Manages to squeeze in some valuable lessons on friendship and the price of fame too. Quite a film!
