Review of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (2000) by Patrick F — 17 Oct 2007
An overrated, but mildly funny play where three actors perform the complete works of William Shakespeare (sort of) in about 90 minutes. Really, they do shortened versions of his most famous works and mention most of the others in passing. This is really much more silly than it is clever or witty, and the more you know about Shakespeare, the less you are to like it. Fortunately, I don't know a great deal, so I liked it enough to give it a passing three-star rating.
Now if you really want to have a good time, read A Midsummer Night's Dream. It's much funnier than this so-so production.
