Review of The Competition (1980) by Arcadia R — 21 Apr 2016
This is a touching and fascinating film about the stresses of a piano competition and their effects on two of the finalists. Dreyfuss and Irving are excellent as the two competitors who fall in love despite being driven to win.
The supporting cast is also terrific. By the end, you are cheering through your tears.
