The Company You Keep might have stood a chance if Redford had not cast himself in the lead as a single Dad. He is just too old for this part. The story of The Weather Underground is deserving of a much better story. In fact, one could easily find an Academy Award deserving documentary on the topic. This movie feels flat and dull from the beginning to the end.
The film also suffers from an uncomfortable mix of Hollywood Liberalism and Historical Truth which never fully gels.
Waste of talent and time.
