Review of The Comedy of Terrors (1964) by Krista G — 26 Sep 2007
I love this film. Price & Lorre make a brilliant comic duo. Karloff is priceless. Everyone seems to enjoy every moment - particularly the great Basil Rathbone, reciting Macbeth at every turn in a red dressing-gown and nightcap.
It's a horror-parody, working on the actors' established onscreen personae, and more specifically inverts the character-relationships (Price-Lorre-Jameson) in the 'Black Cat' segment of Corman's Tales of Terror, replacing the infamous black cat with a ginger one.
Excellent fun.
