Review of The Comedy (2012) by Victor D — 08 Nov 2012
I don't know why, but I was able to enjoy it a lot more this time around. I didn't feel as if Heidecker did as great a job initially, but now I feel as if the subtlety in his performance was what made him so good.
Seeing how much of a shit he and his friends are, and seeing what a day in their life consists of is a pretty solid interpretation of the modern hipster. It's still irritating at times because everyone in this movie is such a shit, but maybe that's the hipster perspective that this movie was trying to convey.
Or maybe, as another critic already said, it's all bullshit. I dont know, but I kind of liked it.
