Review of The Comedy (2012) by Nick E — 08 Jun 2013
It's a good satire on the cynical, sarcastic humor of a generation so preoccupied with not being the joke that they became one. The film's tedius nature supports it's point, and while I applaud the film's ambition (maybe the most ambitious since the compellingly pretentious Melancholia), it's hard not to get dragged down with our protagonist.
Still, this is one of the few mumblecore films that uses this particularly popular cinematography and tone in a supportive and relevant way.
