Review of The Comebacks (2007) by Zane T — 23 Aug 2008

This was a big surprise.

I expected The Comebacks to be like Meet the Spartans. Thankfully, it wasn't. It was actually pretty good. The movie isn't hilarious, but it did bring up some jokes of classic spoof films that I laughed at. So, it's clear that the filmmakers were trying. The movie does have it's share of celebrity, black, gay, random, handicap (screw them for that), and sex jokes, but the majority of those jokes fall flat. And they're trying to make David Koechner a big comedic actor. I think that he was the least funny thing in this movie.

All in all, this is a decent comedy that's good, but not great. It's a rental.
