Review of The Comebacks (2007) by Troy B — 19 Nov 2008
Not bad, but not good. I laughed twice. The first time was Shannon Woodward from The Riches' cameo and the second was the best line I've heard in a parody movie since Airplane (though, try as it did to harness the powers Zucker, this film falls far short).
.. that line? The coach is pepping the team up telling them about a sick little boy who's dying wish is to see the opposing team win. As his rally cry, he asks the team, "What do they want the boy to do?" And as a group, they yell, "Die sad.
" Fantastic. Give me more of that in a parody movie and we won't have a problem.
