Review of The Colossus of Rhodes (1961) by Jeremy N — 17 May 2008
The first full-feature directoral effort from one of my favorites, Sergio Leone. That said, he got better later on. While this one was pretty good compared to most sword-and-sandal B-movies from the late 50s/early 60s, it still seems very dated and hokey.
Worth seeing, however, just to see how Leone would evolve as a filmmaker.
