Review of The Color of Paradise (1999) by Mahbub H — 09 May 2010
The Colour of God. a film of innocence and fear; I never knew that Iran had so much colour; flower saturated hills, children covered in colourful clothes; buildings get a wattle and daub makeover then washed with sky colours.
Is it allegorical? the blind see more than the sighted? Felt sorry for the bad luck father; he manages to drop the dead donkey on everyone he cares for.
