Review of The Color of Money (1986) by Abhiram S — 10 Feb 2011
As I watched this film, I was saying "this is good", "Getting better" and "WOW!" all the way up-till the last scene, afterwhich I said "they blew it". Sorsese's only sequel(to The Hustler) is fun to watch as Paul Newman chews up the scene as the teacher and Cruise makes me relate to the rebellious student.
My only flaw and a fatal flaw at that is the ending. I understand the metaphorical meaning at the end stating it does not matter who wins. However, after all that when a climatic showdown between Cruise and Newman is expected and when Scorsese denies it, I felt wanting.
Nevertheless points go for cinematography once again.
